OncoStrong provides personalized exercise support for people affected by cancer at every stage of recovery. Whether you are preparing for treatment, currently in treatment, recently finished, or rebuilding months or years later, your sessions are designed around your current abilities, symptoms, energy level, and goals.
Your program may include strength, mobility, balance, endurance, and functional movement to help everyday activities feel easier. Sessions can begin gently and progress over time, with modifications for fatigue, pain, treatment side effects, and low-energy days.
You do not need to feel strong or ready for a traditional workout before you begin. OncoStrong is designed to help you start where you are and gradually rebuild trust in your body.
Built From Both Science and Lived Experience
OncoStrong was created by Dr. Patricia McMahon, a breast cancer survivor who brings both professional expertise and personal experience to cancer recovery. After chemotherapy, radiation, and multiple surgeries, she understands how fatigue, weakness, brain fog, and uncertainty can continue long after treatment ends.
She also brings a strong professional background in science, research, education, and program development, along with certification as a personal trainer and specialized study in cancer recovery, exercise, and cognitive wellness. Her approach combines evidence-informed exercise with the practical understanding of someone who has had to rebuild her own strength, energy, confidence, and routines through cancer recovery, pregnancy, and sports injuries.
OncoStrong was built to provide the kind of individualized, flexible support Patricia wished every patient had during recovery—not pressure to return to who they were before cancer, but a realistic path toward feeling stronger and trusting their body again.
