Prospective Surveillance
The Prospective Surveillance Model of Care focuses on assessments prior to treatment, throughout your care, and monitoring after to decrease risk and manage severity of potential side effects.
In this model, we will meet prior to any treatment occurring to take baseline measurements of your range of motion, limb volume, balance, cardiovascular endurance, and strength. Exercises will be provided based on any impairments we find, and we will follow up intermittently during and after treatment to assess for any changes. Different exercises will be added to your home program as needed and if we find impairments that need to be addressed more quickly, we can set up regular appointments. This model of care is focused on being proactive to help you maintain your quality of life during and after treatment.
